CFCM Endurance Team
WHAT IS CROSSFIT ENDURANCE?
CrossFit Endurance is an endurance sports training program dedicated to improving performance, fitness and endurance sports potential.
Power and speed are critical components to success in the endurance world. With careful planning, the CFCM strength and conditioning plan increases these two mainstays of performance while decreasing recovery time, reducing injury, promoting preservation of lean tissue and creating a more sustainable performance curve. We focus on eliminating the unnecessary volume of training while increasing intensity. The long slow training program results in athletes being less powerful, less lean and more prone to injury, low energy and abbreviated sport longevity. We follow the CFCM programming while adding precise training for endurance. We will make you lift heavy. We will make your lungs burn.
Endurance WODS are held TUESDAY and THURSDAY mornings at 5:15. Please make sure you are ready to leave the gym/workout at 5:15. Workouts range from timed runs, distance runs, sprints, interval training, and rower workouts
Always check the website for any potential cancellations/changes.
Please make sure you are prepared for the weather! We do run outside and we want everyone to be dressed appropriately!
We want everyone to be SAFE! Please have some type of reflective clothing, vest, head lamp, blinky light, glo sticks, light sabers or anything else to keep you visible to cars, bikers, etc.
Please understand, our endurance workouts are run in conjunction with the CFCM programming and training we do on a daily basis. The goal with this training, as is with CrossFit, is to take people out of their comfort zone.

What a year 2012 has been for our endurance athletes!
Got a little Goofy and ran a half marathon, then 24 hours later ran a full marathon. In February there was a crew of new runners that trained hard and hit up Hyannis for a half-marathon. Tackled recording breaking heat in the Boston Marathon. We went on a 200 mile, 33 hour adventure running from Wachusett Mountain to Horseneck Beach! Saw a huge group of runners cross the finish line at our very own Worcester Half Marathon. Took first place in a triathlon relay. Capping off a great year with 20 athletes braving a hurricane and crossing the finish at the Marine Corp Marathon – 10 of them were first time marathoners!!
Amazing, right? Just wait until you see what we have in store for 2013!
Keep your eyes peeled to the endurance page for continued updates of all of the fun and NEW adventures we have planned!
Anyone is welcome to join us for any of the endurance WODS!
Worried that your too fast, too slow, don’t know anyone, can’t do the distance, or are not a runner? Don’t worry about it, just talk to Jill. Come join us for a run or WOD and see what we are all about !
